Research Interests
   Gabriel focuses in his research mainly on Monetary Macroeconomics topics, such as the role of expectations in the design and implementation of monetary policy, identification and transmission of monetary shocks and monetary policy rules. He also contributed to studies analysing economic growth, or estimating variables of interest for policymakers, such as potential GDP or cyclically adjusted budget balance. Currently, his research interests span over three dimensions: (a) time variation in the relation between economic variables or in the transmission mechanisms of monetary and fiscal policies; (b) models with non-rational expectations; (c) the role of labour market in accommodating shocks.
